Jesolo
Jesolo is a seaside town in the Veneto region, in the province of Venice. It lies between the mouths of the Piave and Sile rivers, on the edge of the lagoon area Laguna del Mort, approximately 16 km northeast of Venice.
Jesolo is one of the most important tourist destinations on the northern Adriatic coast. The main area, Lido di Jesolo, features approximately 15 km of sandy beach with extensive infrastructure, including hotels, apartments, restaurants, and shops.
The town is divided into the historic centre (Jesolo Paese) and the coastal part, Lido di Jesolo. Its history dates back to Roman times, when it was known as Equilium. Later, it became part of the Republic of Venice and was known as Cavazuccherina until 1930.
